BALETRON designs a wide range of projects under the generic name of “turnstile systems”, an electronic security system and an indispensable part of access control systems. The system is installed for several reasons to carry out multiple functions. This depends on the operating scenario provided by the customer and the risk analysis carried out by our engineers, and delivers turnkey solutions with an optimum equipment configuration.

There are several types of products in this category. One can make a choice according to the type of the envisaged solutions and entry/exit disciplines.

Tripod Turnstiles: Turnstiles called “tripods” are access control devices that permit an easy access and provide a low security profile. They are easy to install and have low operating and maintenance costs. The mechanism of the turnstile is controlled electromechanically. It is possible to integrate a card-reader to the turnstile. The turnstile has folding arms which can be collapsed during fire outbreak or in any emergency situation. An electromechanical or LCD counter records the statistical entry/exit data.

Some turnstile models are equipped with lids sensitive to pressure. Infrared barrier sensors are also installed to give an alarm message to the access control system in the event of unauthorized passage over or under the arm of the turnstile or by climbing over the turnstile.

Some of the areas where the services of the turnstile are utilized are offices, reception areas, businesses, subway stations and sports and recreation facilities with a low level of human circulation.

Speed Gates/Hidden Gates: To ensure both a fast circulation of people and maximum security, motorized passages use a detection system sensitive to people’s movement in the passage and prevent unauthorized passages. The system doesn’t allow access of two people with a single validation. These systems operate with motorized sliding boards and are suitable for HANDS FREE operation and/or for operation with card readers. They can operate single- or bi-directionally. They have a large and uniform transit capacity that ensures a high intensity flow of persons.

This system is widely used at banks, businesses, plants and public transport stations, which have high intensity entry/exit flows of people.

Full-Height Turnstiles:  They are intended to ensure a problem-free passage in businesses without surveillance systems. This type of turnstile let people pass only one by one. They have unidirectional or bi-directional, mechanical or electric models, suitable for internal or external use, painted or of stainless steel.

Their field of use includes stadiums, sport and recreation facilities, airports and parking lots of businesses, which may have a low or high intensity flow of people.

High security full-height booth: They are used at the entries of facilities or at high-security areas. This security booth is specially designed to grant access only to people who have been enrolled to use it. 

The casings of these booths are manufactured with a reinforced aluminum composites or stainless steel. The glasses are bulletproof. They are equipped with two sliding doors.

Depending on the requirement of the customer and the security level of the place, before entering the booth, the person swipes his card in the card reader. The person is allowed into the booth after the swiped card had been found to be valid. The metal detector in the booth carries out a scanning against weapons. The digital cameras or biometric readers verify the identity of the person by cross checking the read data from the database. At the same time, an electronic weighing machine installed in the floor weighs the person and compare the weight. The second sliding door only opens to allow access when  all the data captured are matching with the data stored in the database.

This system is widely used at high security places such as entries and exits of maximum security areas, data processing centers, archives and banks’ vaults, credit card printing and storing facilities, research and development centers, energy production facilities’ control rooms, military facilities and archives, airport flight control centers.

High security full-height booth: They are used at the entries of facilities or at high-security areas. This security booth is specially designed to grant access only to people who have been enrolled to use it.
